I am a Software Engineer II at Estes Express Lines on the Agentic Development Life Cycle (ADLC) team, a proof of concept where engineers define the intent, constraints, and acceptance criteria and AI agents do much of the planning, development, testing, and remediation. I am super passionate about front and back end web development (full stack), as well as general software development for desktop applications, etc. Please check out the Blog page to see coding projects from both my personal and academic career.

Academic & Career Timeline

Software Engineer II · Agentic Development Life Cycle (ADLC) Team
October 2026 - PresentAfter interviewing for a spot, I joined a new proof-of-concept team (still as a Software Engineer II) that is changing the shape of the development process itself. Instead of AI helping with individual tasks, we define the intent, constraints, and acceptance criteria, and AI agents orchestrated with GCP Scion handle much of the planning, development, testing, and remediation. Our first iteration is a brand-new application built from scratch. I also help interview engineers joining the team, and I’ll bring what we learn back to my previous team’s legacy applications.
Software Engineer II
July 2025 - October 2026Software engineer on an agile development team creating and improving features for internal and external software applications, as well as mentoring new developers who join our team.
September 2024 - May 2025
Software Developer at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division
Same Navy, new division! I joined an agile team building features for a modeling and simulation application. Beyond shipping code, I led code reviews, mentored junior developers, and had a seat at the table for technical design decisions.

Master of Engineering: Done!
Officially a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Applications as of August 9, 2024. I finished with a 4.0 GPA (while still working at Indian Head!) and a capstone project you can check out on VTechWorks.
August 2023
Back to School at the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus
Started my master’s at Virginia Tech’s Innovation Campus as a Boeing Graduate Scholar, which even earned a shout-out on Virginia Tech News.
June 2021 - September 2024
Software Developer at Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division
My first full-time software job, and I dove right in. I grew into the technical lead developer on the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) team, building a Java-based application with a team of developers over several years. When leadership needed answers fast, I ran project management for short, high-intensity funded efforts and delivered the M&S support they asked for.
May 2021
Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude
Graduated magna cum laude on May 15, 2021, with a B.S. in Biochemistry plus minors in Chemistry and Computer Science, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. One major, two minors, lots of lab hours, and plenty of late-night debugging.
June 2020 - August 2020 & December 2020 - January 2021
Student Intern at Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division
My first taste of defense work: two stints with the Modeling & Simulation team for Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) Defense. I dug into a comprehensive literature review and helped answer the foundational questions that got the team’s newly funded, three-year software effort off the ground.

The Computer Science Plot Twist
I loved biochemistry (okay, mostly the chemistry classes), but I wanted to stretch my brain. I had just enough open electives for a minor, and computer science kept calling my name. My first CS class was a brutal learning curve and the most rewarding challenge I’d ever taken on. By the end of it, I knew this was what I wanted to do for a career.
May 2019 - August 2019
Bookkeeper at Koons Chevy Buick GMC
A summer in the dealership’s accounting department, preparing and handling the legal paperwork behind vehicle registrations and taxes. My biggest takeaway? The car industry really, really loves paper.
August 2017
Hello, Virginia Tech!
Started undergrad at Virginia Tech and changed majors more than once before landing on Biochemistry. Favorite class? General Chemistry, no contest.
June 2017
High School Graduate
Diploma in hand! I spent the rest of the summer working and saving up before heading off to college in August.
March 2016 - August 2017
My First Job!
Started as an Associate at Potbelly Sandwich Works and was quickly promoted to certified trainer, showing every new hire the ropes. It’s where I first learned how much teamwork and good customer service matter.
